VPS or Virtual Private Server is almost the same as dedicated server.
VPS is sometimes refered to as a Virtual Dedicated Server.
A Virtual Private Server feels just like your own dedicated server but it's not. a Virtual Private Server is a physical server separated into several independent hosting spaces or Virtual Private Servers.
Each Virtual Private Server on the phisical server is isolated from the other.
This will allow you to create and manage multiple sites and domains and take full control of your VPS with root/administrator access which allows you to access the virtual hard disk, RAM and to reboot your Virtual private server independently from other ones.
